The Language of Charcoal - Sept 14, 21, 28 & Oct 5

Charcoal is a language of its own—bold, expressive, unpredictable and wonderfully messy.

In this exploratory drawing class, we’ll discover what charcoal can say through line, shape, value, texture, movement and contrast. We’ll make marks, erase them, smudge them, layer them, lose them and find them again.

Beginning with playful abstract explorations and small thumbnails, we’ll gradually move toward more intentional compositions and expressive drawings.

This is less about learning to draw “correctly” and more about learning to see—and finding your own voice in charcoal.
