The Poetry of Still Life - Oct 12. 19, 26 & Nov 2

Exploring the ordinary through charcoal. Still Life gives us the opportunity to slow down and really see.

In this 4 wk session, we’ll explore the beauty and character of ordinary objects through light, shadow, shape, texture, value & composition. Working from simple arrangements, we’ll discover how charcoal can transform an ordinary object into something mysterious, dramatic or quietly imbued with presence.

Expect to get messy, experiment, erase, smudge, simplify and discover.

No previous charcoal experience is necessary. This class is about slowing down, seeing deeply and finding your own way of expressing what you see.
